In third grade I wrote my first paper.

You may have written one like this one too. Mine was titled, “All About Me”, and the thesis was based upon a highly complex acrostic:

T- Terrific
O- Obedient
B- Beautiful
E- Easy
E- Excellent

A third grade knowledge of adjectives combined with innocence (or pride?!) in calling myself “beautiful” and “easy”!!! I recall that I was trying to express that I was easy going…
I spent the next five pages proving my thesis with crayon drawings and simple sentences…if I remember correctly I got a grade or a “Very Good” with a check next to it (in red pen of course).
